Title II, Part A – Supporting Effective Instruction

ESSA Title II, Part A is a federal grant program that provides funding to states and local education agencies (LEAs) to improve the quality of educators. Its purpose is to increase student achievement by supporting the recruitment, preparation, and retention of effective teachers, principals, and other school leaders. The funds are often used for professional development, mentoring programs for new educators, and initiatives to reduce class sizes, with a focus on providing equitable access to effective educators for low-income and minority students.
