Teacher Incentive Allotment
Teacher Incentive Allotment
Supporting Region 14 districts through every stage of the TIA process — from system application to data submission.
The Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) was created by the Texas Legislature to recognize and reward effective teachers.
Region 14 ESC partners with districts to support TIA planning, system applications, data collection, and submission.
Below you’ll find current updates, important dates, and links to each phase of the process.

General TIA Information
- New districts interested in applying for a TIA local designation system need to submit an LOI to gain access to the TIA Online Portal to submit a System Application. Please email TIA@tea.texas.gov to request the online LOI form. The deadline to submit is Tuesday, April 15, 2025.
 - To better assist all districts participating with TIA, TEA asks that you submit a Letter of Intent (LOI). This will ensure participating districts receive timely communications and up-to-date information – whether they are applying for a system, going through data capture/data submissions, or expanding/modifying their system. To submit an LOI or to update your district’s contact information, please email tia@tea.texas.gov. The LOI is nonbinding, and districts may delay their application at any time.
 - TIA Designated Teacher Search is now available on TEA's website. Districts and teachers can search for designated teachers by name or Designated Teacher ID and print virtual certificates of designation.
