Eligibility
- WHO: A child who is, or whose parent, spouse, or guardian, is a migratory agricultural worker who has moved due to economic necessity
- WHAT: Temporary or seasonal employment in agricultural work
- WHERE: From one school district to another
- WHY: Due to economic necessity AND engage in new qualifying work soon after the move; OR actively sought new qualifying work AND has a recent history of moves.
- WHEN: Within the preceding 36 months

Out of School Youth (OSY) are individuals who are not currently enrolled in school and do not have a high school diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate.
The goal of the Migrant Education Program (MEP) is for all migrant OSY and Here to Work youth to achieve positive outcomes, including the completion of a secondary education which can prepare them for college or assist them in becoming a productive member of the workforce.
