Teacher Incentive Allotment

Teacher Incentive Allotment

The Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) is a state program designed to help districts attract, reward, and retain highly effective teachers. Through a locally designed designation system, districts can recognize impactful teaching and generate additional state funding that must be spent on teacher compensation. Region 14 supports districts through every phase of the process—from applying and designing systems to data capture, submission, and continuous improvement.

Demystifying Texas TIA

General TIA Information

Districts interested in joining the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) should submit a Letter of Intent (LOI) to tia@tea.texas.gov to receive access to the TIA Online Portal and begin the System Application.
System Application deadline: April 15, 2026.

Submitting an LOI keeps your district on TEA’s update list throughout application, data capture/submission, and system modifications. The LOI is non-binding.
