Region 14 ESC offers many different alternative certification programs and has been involved in alternative certification since the late 1980's. We offer a fast-paced learning environment that is taught by practicing professionals, therefore, bringing you the most up-to-date training available.

Region 14, which has been involved in alternative certification since 1988, offers a teacher certification program for individuals who have a bachelor’s degree from any accredited university. Region 14’s alternative certification program is an intensive, fast-paced program for highly motivated candidates.

The Region 14 ESC Principal Alternative Certification Program (PACP) is an intensive one-year preparation program for aspiring principals. It provides an opportunity for individuals who have a master’s degree to participate in an intensive, comprehensive program leading to principal certification. The program is designed only for highly committed candidates who can excel in a fast-paced training environment.

The Region 14 ESC Superintendent Alternative Certification Program (SACP) is a one-year preparation program for aspiring superintendents. It provides an opportunity for individuals who have mid-management or principal's certification to participate in an intensive, comprehensive program leading to superintendent certification. The program is designed only for highly committed candidates who are able to excel in a fast-paced training environment.

This means you can participate from anywhere, without ever needing to travel. The entire program is designed with working teachers in mind, so your coursework will never interfere with your professional life.

Region 14 ESC in collaboration with Cisco College offers an opportunity for educational aides to earn an associate's degree in child development while continuing to work. Participants selected will receive reduced tuition. Classes will meet at nights and on weekends.
All classes will be held at Region 14 South at 4300 S. Treadaway, Abilene, TX. 79602
Enrollment is limited. Participants will be selected from a committee.
