►Who We Are
The Double Mountain Rural Collaborative is a partnership between – Aspermont ISD, Hamlin ISD, Jayton-Girard ISD, Roby ISD, Rotan ISD, and Rule ISD—along with higher education partners Cisco College, Western Texas College, and Texas State Technical College, plus local business and industry leaders.
►Who We Serve
The DMRC supports six rural districts serving approximately 440 high school students. Rural schools often face challenges such as limited opportunities, staffing shortages, and budget constraints. By bringing together educators, community leaders, and industry partners, the CCRC works to strengthen opportunities for rural students and communities.
►What We Do
The DMRC uses regional labor market data and local industry needs to shape Career and Technical Education pathways for students. These pathways provide opportunities to earn certifications, pursue higher education with dual credit hours, and participate in work-based learning experiences. Participating districts specialize in specific pathways and share faculty, resources, and funding across district lines.
►Why We Do It
The vision of the DMRC is to empower the region by collaborating across rural schools to provide innovative education, expand student opportunities, and sustain thriving rural communities.
The DMRC’s mission is to strengthen rural communities by connecting education, workforce development, industry partnerships, and post-secondary opportunities to prepare students for high-demand, high-wage career pathways leading to lifelong success.
