Region 14 Employee Benefits Cooperative
Region 14 Employee Benefits Cooperative (Region 14 EBC) develops, procures, and administers employee benefits programs and risk management programs, that embody the concept of providing improved benefit provisions, reducing costs, and pooling risks.
The governing body of the Region 14 EBC is comprised of the superintendent/designee from each entity that i a member of the Region 14 EBC and the Region 14 Education SErvice Center executive director/designee.
Any entity that as been accepted/approved by the Region 14 EBC Board may participate in the program.
- Charter membership shall consist of school districts that commit to be Participants by executing the Interlocal Agreement and approving these Operational Procedures for the 2006-07 fiscal year. Future membership will be available to other school districts and other governmental entities, subject to the guidelines established by the Board of Record.
- Signing this agreement, the Participant transfers its rights to acquire employee benefits programs to Region 14 EBC.
Employee Benefits Program shall include, but not limited to, dental insurance, life insurance, disability income protection, flexible spending accounts, and other benefits as determined by the Board of Record.
Risk Management Programs shall include, but not limited to, property casualty insurance, workman’s compensation, unemployment compensation, investments, student insurance, and other programs as directed by the Board of Record.
