School Health Services
Support for the Texas School Health Network is provided through in-service training, workshops, and technical assistance designed to develop, implement, and improve school health services to the students in each district. In addition, the responsibility for maintaining an active and cooperative network of public, private, and voluntary school health organizations to support regional and local district efforts is a major function of the Regional School Health Specialist.

  Region 14 School Nurse Group
Region 14 School Nurse of the Year

The Region 14 Chapter of the Texas School Nurses Organization (TSNO) selected their nominee for Texas School Nurse of the Year earlier this spring. We are proud to announce Paula McDuff of Region 14 Education Service Center has been selected as the nominee.

Paula has been our Health Consultant with Region 14's Head Start program for 17 years, and has worked as a nurse for over 40 years total. She works with Head Start staff at our area schools to help keep our kids healthy, and we appreciate her contributions to the Region 14 School Nurses group. The Texas School Nurse of the Year will be selected from the regional nominees, and we wish Paula the best of luck!
