Accountability and School Improvement Information

The 85th Legislature passed HB 22, changing the Texas school accountability system so that every campus and district receives ratings from A-F through a Domain system. The law requires schools and districts to be issued grades based on three different areas of performance or “domains,” and those three grades must be combined into a single overall rating. To support a full understanding of the A-F system, TEA has created an A-F Resources Page

Due to COVID 19, all districts and campuses received a label of Not Rated: Declared State of Disaster for 2020.

ESC Region 14 provides a variety of services to support schools and districts implementing state and/or federal accountability interventions through the Effective Schools Framework in partnership with the Texas Education Agency. The goal of the Region 14 School Support Team is to reduce the number of districts and campuses with a "D" or "F" rating by assisting schools in their journey to improve student performance and to carry out TEA interventions and requirements.
